Cadet Troop 264

The girls in Cadet Troop 264 have made a commitment to raise money and collect books for the library. Thank you so much! The Cadets organized a dance at Sparta Middle School and raised $500 for the library. That is amazing. I have gotten an update today, 6/7, that so far the Cadets have raised over $1000. They have far exceeded my expectations. They are the greatest contributor to the library project.

Sparta Brownie Troop 475 are Fantastic

Brownie Troop 475 had a 2 week Read-A-Thon to raise money to buy books for the Ogongo CS Library. Friends and family supported the effort by pledging "money for minutes" 9 girls participated in the Read-A-Thon and together they raised over $200! The troop leaders were very generous in their decision to match that amount from the troop funds. We took a trip to Barnes and Noble bookstore and had a wonderful shopping spree! The girls personalized bookplates and placed their names inside the beautiful new books that they are donating. I am so excited to deliver the books to the children in Namibia!
